About Us

Our Spiritual Directive

Our Vision
To continue to be a volunteer, faith-based, community-oriented peer counseling organization servicing the Columbia, Missouri area to promote the emotional and spiritual well-being of women at no cost.

Our Mission
To extend Christ’s compassion to women in need of mental, emotional, and spiritual healing.
Columbia Women’s Ministry is a non- denominational, non-profit, free peer counseling organization. We are volunteer- based and donor-driven. CWM is open to the entire Columbia, Missouri community and surrounding area.

Our ministry serves women 18 and over, whether they are in crisis or just in need of a listening ear. We offer a safe, comfortable, and confidential environment to heal.

Our clients are paired with peer counselors who had similar experiences and have walked through the healing process. Our peer counselors have many training and counseling hours.

We don’t have a secret formula. We do have the unconditional love of Christian women. We have a heart of compassionate understanding and meet our clients at their point of need.

Volunteers

Our volunteers are faithful women of God who maintain a vibrant, committed relationship with him. Belonging to a local body of Christ is their priority. They are called to minister to women with a heart of compassion and grace. After completing an intensive training course, they walk with hurting women through their healing journey.
